Napoleon Fact:
He was born in 1769 but some say it was actually 1768. If he was born in 69 (as is the widely accepted date), he was French, but if born in 68, then he was in fact Italian.

Ok, I need shoes. Did you notice all those muk-luks everywhere? What is the deal with those? Helen and Hilary and myself all went out for a drink after class and, we all agreed -- why? Why muk-luks or ughs or whatever you want to call them? I need boots. I need fantastic footwear for this fabulous dress that I bought that is making me think I should have bought the top instead, but when you have the entire staff tell you that is the dress you need to get, well then, that is the dress you need to get.

Only now -- no shoes! Or boots I mean.

Nothing for my feet!

So girls, please be on the lookout for some footwear for ME and my fantastic dress that I so want to wear.

But NO MUK-LUKS!

Today I present a Napoleon painting rather than a fact. (Okay took it from the Napoleon site... yeah yeah...) He isn't depicted very small here. Imagine the size of his personality and drive if he was bigger than 1.686 metres!

So I tried explaining this whole blog thing to my friends. Some get it and some just don't. So I am composing my list of why I am blogging. Or why someone should blog.
  1. My own special forum to vent.
  2. Somewhere to share my love for stuff and people.
  3. For my fans.
  4. A place to practise my writing.
  5. Somewhere to post all those little ideas I have that normally get forgotten or lost or scribbled on some anonymous paper... and then lost.
  6. Of course somewhere to post pics of my portfolio.
  7. To keep in touch with my friends. But that matches point #3 doesn't it?
  8. My big online scrapbook/journal/photo album/space.
  9. My piece of the internet world!
I think I'm starting to repeat myself...

Okay. So going out.

Have put on at least 10 outfits and nothing is making me happy. I need new clothes. Really. I do.

I bet Napoleon did not have this problem. And the Jessica Simpsons and Olsen Twins or whatever certainly don't have this problem. But whatever. They suck anyways.

It is between classes and we were talking about where to go out tonight.

I don't know.

Manhattan and I just don't know. You kinda get sick of the whole thing sometimes. Plus, I'm kinda poor.

Sometimes, I wonder how many of the people who live here are real New Yorkers. I mean seems most of NY is people from everywhere but.

Being grumpy.
Ignore me.
Ugh.

Finally posted some pics from my summer trip to London.

Today between classes I saw an ad for an Andy Warhol show. The work that they'll be displaying is SUMMER SHADOWS I-V, the complete 1979 diamond dust edition. It's only open until the end of July. After that it's by appointment only. I'll have to talk to Stacey and see if she'd be into going, She's a big art fan and it is Andy Warhol! Oh and it's at the Woodward Gallery.

Ok, so you know I'm really into history, particularly Napoleon, so here's your Napoleon fact for the day:

There always seemed to be a big deal about how tall Napoleon actually was. For the most part I think many people would agree that he was short. Well, before they performed the autopsy on him, they measured him. He was 1.686 metres tall.

I spoke to Greg and asked him what that works out to. Apparently 1 metre is something like a couple of feet. If that is true then my Napoleon was indeed a short man! But his character no doubt makes up for it!
